About Program [-]

Summer camp astronomy programs for girls and boys.Taught by astronomy educator Lucia Brimer of the Austin Planetarium and other qualified counselors

The Austin Planetarium is a 501(c)(3) not for profit, which is committed to building a world class Science Museum, Technology Center and the largest planetarium in the State of Texas.  Currently Austin is the largest city in the United States without a planetarium or a full science museum, and we are dedicated to changing this statistic.

Although we have not opened doors yet, we are already deploying our highly successful Mobile Planetarium program. After only 2.5 years of operation we are nearing the 100,000 visitor count! Check out the article below for more information on this program, and how you can get the mobile planetarium to come to your school.

In these web pages you will find more about our vision for Central Texas, events we are organizing or are participating in, and of course
